Replacing Shower

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.30 PM

Hi, Our trusty Triton shower has eventually given up and is now obsolete. Triton have recommended a couple of replacements but both in excess of £200. I just want something to tide us over until next year when hopefully we will be getting a new bathroom suite. A cheaper electric shower would involve moving water/electrics which we are not competent in doing. I remember in my younger days having a rubber hose that attached to the taps (and would randomly pop off wetting everything in site)! I have seen a more sophisticated version of these that are a hose and shower head that screw to the taps. Are these any good? We have a combi boiler. What other options needing minimal skills are open to us? Thank you

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Fit the t80 easy fit...adjustable for water and eletric connections....fits most set ups and eletric and water point connections...moving the eletric point from one side to another is easy on...focus on the water come tin left or right...then the wire...is wire is long enough..should be tho if it's a Triton replacement

You could try a Combination Bath Tap with Shower attachment, although these are not cheap either, plus they are copying the Victorian StyleBath Tap, which had the Hose Tap for Shower, it is not possible to use Rubber Hoses, as they will not fit Taps as they are no longer round. Hope this helps.

If you’re looking for a temporary fix you can do yourselves, then your options are limited. 1- see if you can source a shower hose to push over the taps. 2- hire someone to fit a triton easy fit shower. £200-£300 inclusive. 3- suck it up and have baths until you are in a position to change the bathroom.
