PRV water dripping through tundish boiler pressure
Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.55 PM
This morning I noticed water was dripping through the tundish, I went and looked at the boiler to see the pressure has dropped a little could this be linked? I have read that PRV are notoriously temperamental. Or could it be a problem with the expansion vessel. Unvented system

boiler prv,s usualy discharge outside,it could be the prv or a problem with expansion vessel,or is this an unvented cylinder you are talking about ?,get a boiler engineer to check it for you,if it is an unvented cylinder you will need a g3 registered engineer to check it.if it is an unvented cylinder, this means one of the safety units on system is failing get a g3 plumber to look at it as soon as possible.

Hi it will be the expansion vessel on the unvented cylinder at fault sometimes it can be recharged but better off replacing it
