Saniflo in garden room

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.08 PM

I'm installing a saniflo system 40m away from the house and the waste pipe is going to be buried under ground via a trench. It will only have to pump around 1 meter in height over the 40 meters with around 4x sweeping Bends in solvent weld pipe to get me to where I need to be. My questions is. Can I use mains water pipe (black 25mm mdfp pipe) under ground to go into the trench. I'm hoping this idea will limit any Bends that will slow down the flow rate and eleminate any joints that could fail under ground rather than (solvent weld). Any advice will be greatly received. Thanks in advance. Dean

Yes you could but it is not really advised as the mdpe pipe is rather thick and could possibly restrict the flow so wouldn’t really recommend this

Contact saniflow and get the correct waste pipe you need you could then sleeve under ground so it would not get damaged pay attention to depth also insulate prevent freezing in cold weather but i wouldn't advise this installation in the first place speak with the manufacturer and get advice

Depending on manufacturers installation instructions you may be able to use 22mm pipe, in which case a 50m coil of barrier pipe would be sufficient.

definitely no, with a run of that length 40 mm is required.
