Who is responsible when toilet starts to malfunction shortly after fitting?

Our recently fitted bathroom is starting to go wrong...there'll pick in toilet stopped working within 8 weeks of futting. Bathroom fitter says we have to go back to manufacturer guarantee directly oursekves. He hasn't even finished the job yet. As supplier is he not supposed to sort the probkem? Jo

if he supplied it he is responsible to deal with it,and correspond with manufacturer.

You may not like this answer, but if you have gone with the cheapest quote ..don't expect great after care service...I may be wrong but I suspect the fitter has under priced the job ...

As he supplied the bathroom, he is obligated to sort out the problem either in the fitting of it or if faulty to arrange a replacement with his supplier directly ASAP.

If the bathroom fitter has installed the toilet then out of respect he should take a look at the toilet. Also if he has bought the bathroom suite then it is down to him to fix the problems or he himself should contact the manufacturers for you 👍
