Creaky / squeaky floorboards upstairs in all way & 2 bedrooms.

Hi, The upstairs hallway/landing, box bedroom and small double in my house have extremely noisy floorboards, that so it wakes our newborn baby up, does anyone have any idea whom I would get out to lift the carpets and fix the issue while relaying the carpets without any damage? Juts want an idea of whom I would ask? Landing upstairs is around 3 metres, then a small double and small box room, thanks. Creaky / squeaky floorboards upstairs in all way & 2 bedrooms.

sounds like the builder hasn`t used glue when the boards was laid, to fix properly the boards have to be lifted then relaid,
then get a carpet fitter to relay carpets again.

Interesting question.
The carpet will need to be careful rolled back and floor boards screwed down. Particular attention to the position of pipes and cables, following the pattern of the original nails. Do not renail,as to do so will cause damage to the underlying ceiling. A good coat of polyurethane varnish after sanding will leave you with a sound floor for many years.

Floors squeak because,a there boards are loose after being lifted to fit pipe or cables, and not firmly fixed after,or b the floor is old and the boards have shrunk and move slightly, c the boards were not fixed down enough when first laid.all three options are fixable
