radiator bleed valve stuck.

Hi, I'm unable to lose a bleed valve on a radiator as it has air trapped in it. I have tried many many times but sadly, with no luck. I have been using this key: https://www.diy.com/departments/rothenberger-radiator-key-pack-of-2/191173_BQ.prd I'm able to bleed other radiators in my house, just not this one. I'm unable to use pliers as the radiator bleed valve is very close to a wall, making it hard to fit any pliers (I have tried long nose pliers). I have put some WD-40 on it and still not much luck. I'm wording if I'm using the wrong key or if the valve has too much paint on it (The radiator itself is almost 16+ years old "ish). Hi. You may just be better replacing the radiator. Hope this helps

It’s possible your key may be slightly wrong size. I have had this before Try when rad is hot or cold If no luck explain issue to who you call out before they attend, if they are experienced they will have right tools It does not say where you are, if your in my working area, I’ll pop in and do for free

Depending on the age of the radiator the bleed nipple may be held in a separate chrome fitting. This fitting has flat sides on it allowing it to be undone. If you have this type, switch off the thermostatic valve and other valve (lockshield). Then all you have to do is undo the chrome fitting until the air stops and water drips. If there is a lot of air in the radiator you may need to open the thermostatic valve a little to pressurise the radiator. Once done check the pressure on the boiler, top up as required. This fitting can be bought from most plumbing merchants. With the radiator isolated you could fit it on the opposite side to make access easier.
