Flow control on a Trevi shower

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.54 PM

I just moved in to a house with two ten year old Trevi showers. The thermostatic mixer valves each just have one lever to control the shower temperature. There is nothing to control the flow rate and at the moment the flow is too high. Can I simply fit a flow restrictor of some sort in the shower head to slow the water down a little?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

A flow restrictor would be better fitted before the shower valve on both hot and cold supplies to avoid loss of temperature control

Hi, you have to clean limescale in the showerhead, live bag with vinegar around the head for the night, morning pressure is increasing.

You would be better off fitting a prv to reduce the pressure as a flow restrictor only reduces flow not pressure and it sound like your trevi is single sequential
