Preperation for newly skimmed walls

I am about to start painting the whole house,can anyone tell me what would be the right,easy and ecnomical way to do this,Whole house is freshly skimmed ,just waiting for it to completly dry I mean should i use somekind of underpaint or simply start with the actual paint? Thanks

i wood pva the walls to stop the suction of the paint as you wont use a lot of paint water down the pva and brush it on to your walls

use a good plaster primer first this will soak in and show any discrepancies that require slight filling then apply 2-3 coats of matt emulsion

Mist coat of non vinyl matt emulsion (water down 50/50) is what you need to start off with, pva is a no, the first coat of emul needs to soak in to the walls which is why its watered down... continue with a further 2-3 coats of full matt emulsion
