Fencing

Replacement Fencing

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.47 PM

I have 18 fence panels I am looking to replace. I have had quotes for panels with wooden posts and panels with concrete posts. I appreciate it may be a matter of preference but I am just looking for a professional opinion for durability if possible please. I am also considering getting a quote from Clourfence but feel I would not be able to afford this option. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Concrete posts are always the better option as they have a much longer life if correctly installed using concrete around the base of the post.As for the panels it pays to spend the extra money on a better quality panel that has been made from better quality materials.

Concrete will always last longer and will not snap in the wind or rot away, wood is still ok to use just won't last as along

Concrete posts and gravel boards are more expensive to install but will last much longer. Good quality 4 inch wooden posts with a wooden gravel board installed correctly with a UPVC wrap around the bottom of the post before you put them in the ground and before adding your post mix concrete this will last and will not see you far wrong. It’s just a matter of what is more cost-effective to you.

Concrete posts all day long. Might be expensive now, but they’ll never need replacing.

Hi yes concrete posts last a lot longer than your normal wooden posts are you also don't have to treat the concrete posts neither do they rot like your wooden posts.

Always concrete posts in my opinion, as mentioned previously they will last longer than wooden. Simply put better value for money.
