Hi,
20 years ago my parents had to have major work done to their 3 bed bungalow due to subsidence.
Sadly the builder the insurance company recommended was a cowboy and when replacing the floorboards he didnt put them under the partition walls and cut them off at the skirting boards.
My dad was suffering from depression at the time and didnt raise the issue.
Now the walls are hanging down and cracked.
To have them repaired would they need to move out or can it be done with them still in the house. They are 86 and 84 and wouldnt want the hassle of moving out.
Thanks for your help in advance

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?
I think you could have it done while in the house. It maybe a case of just raising the wall if possible and adding braces underneath. May need more work to put right but depends on if it's a block wall or wood partition. Once it correctly raised and braced then it may just mean some plastering.
Hi.
The new flooring should have been positioned under the new skirting boards with a expansion gap between the wall and the edge of the flooring.
Installation of cork would have supported the skirting and allow any movement to be taken up due to the compression of the cork.
This should not effect the wall movement in any way or form.
Hope this helps.

Yes I think it could be done with your parents still living there but you should control access the area of works .
As for the walls moving I would do some serious investigation in to why they are .

Hi my name is Edmond I'm sorry to hear about your parents. The job can still be done with your parents still living in the house because the walls are in partition it makes life easier to do the job of course the floor boards should have gone under the walls but usually before you put the floor down you have to put timbers under the floor where the walls are being build then you build the walls on solid base and you no worries thankyou very much
