Potentially you can treat a localised area of wood worm providing you are in a well ventilated area and wear the appropriate PPE! As there are pesticides/insecticides present. (Some are available with no nasty chemicals)
Apply with a brush to reduce health risks and inspect near buy affected areas to ensure contamination is only on the flor boards and not on the supporting timbers! Leave to dry and this should last for about 20 years as it is very effective.
ensure you paint or varnish correctly so stop the possibility of contamination also deep holes should be injected with treatment to ensure proper treatment
Wood worm is active between MAY to September

Youl need to apply a coat of "permethrin woodworm treatment " to the affected area.

Depending on how bad the wood worm is I would advise to replace the timbers to make sure the problem is fixed permanently
