Looking for help replacing seal around window that appears to be moulded/stuck to window.
Tried to remove and it is fixed to the window.
Apologies I may have confused the issue with my description, I was hoping to be able to add a photo here to show it in detail.
Basically it is the seal as you close and open the window to stop the wind, around the PVC not the glass if this makes sense.
Thanks for the quick replies and understanding. How do I get the original gasket out if its moulded and stuck into onto the window and UPVC part? It doesn't come out like others do.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?
The product you are looking for is “q-Lon” and is readily available on eBay . It tucks into a groove around the window a fiddly job but not too hard to do 👍🏼
If you are talking about the whole window frame and the plastered reveal (the gap/crack inbetween). Then you need to remove all existing/worn/mouldy silicone with a Stanley blade and some white spirit. Then re-apply with water & mould resistant silicone in its place.

I agree I’m part with the above answer
But it could be two different things
1 it could be a rubber bubble gasket that does the same job easily removed and refitted
Or
2 it could be as the above answer says q lon but it could be ready fitted to the bar length of the frame profile before its cut to size and machines into a window frame
If this is so you will need to cut all the old seal away from the seal groove with a good stanly knife to allow new stuff to be fitted and may have to use adhesive to hold in place

This is called a bubble gasket and can be replaced on old frames some new frames gaskets are co-extruded. There are two main types of bubble gasket one for Windows and one for doors with the door type being bigger. These can be replaced easily.
Hope this clears things up and good luck
