Triton shower suddenly stopped working

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.29 PM

Hi, I hope someone can help  I have a triton enrich shower unit which was working fine then suddenly stopped the next day... I have checked the fuse board which is all okay There is power to the pull cord  The light on the shower unit itself is on when the switch is set to off. The light turns off when it is turned to high, econ or cold The water supply to the shower unit is coming through fine I had a look online and a lot of people suggested it may be a solenoid issue. I replaced the solenoid which didnt fix the problem I spoke to someone from showerdoctor who suggested it may be the solenoid valve so I have replaced that as well, still it doesn't work I have also noticed The shower isn't making the humming sound it did when it was working before, though I'm not sure if that is relevant I'm now at a bit of a loss as to what to do

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

The shower itself is under £50 from screwfix, would be more cost effective to change the unit and have a 2 year guarantee

Possible heating element failure if water is coming through or .relay on pcb ...probably best replacing unit

Sounds like the unit pcb is faulty I would recommend replacing it with a new one like for like.
