Low level shower tray

Hi, I'm replacing a bath in my flat with a shower and was hoping to have a low level shower tray without a riser kit. But the current shower waste sits just at floor level and as it's a flat I'm unable to lower it to under the floor (where there is a 4cm gap). Is there any type of shower tray or method I could get to avoid using a riser kit and making a larger step up in to the shower. I have looked into a pump but they all seem to need to be at least 7cm bellow the shower for automatic activation. From the top of the floor to the top of the concrete underneath I have 6cm. Thanks in advance

If you have a concrete floor there is no other way but to raise the shower tray and also if you are in a flat the floor will be reinforced and you could damage the structural integrity of the floor if you cut a groove in it So to cut a long story short you will have to raise the tray

Hi, have a look at the AKW Sulby range of trays, these will allow you to fit a tray directly onto a solid floor without the need to break the floor out to install waste.

i wonder ifa low level bath trap could be fitted or even a running trap on the pipiework

You can get a low level tray on the floor with a built in waste that is connected to a flow sensor Waste pump. Theses trays were designed for disabled access. The only downfall is the pumps are generally quite noisy
