Do 600mm non-integrated appliances fit in a 600mm cupboard?

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.53 PM

Hi, I'm looking at getting some Ikea METOD units for our utility room, which are 600mm wide. If we didn't have any doors on them, would non-integrated appliances (i.e. a free standing tumble dryer) fit in the cupboard? Ben

Hi Ben, no it will not fit, the reason is that the outside dimension is 600mm and the inside dimension is less the thickness of the walls. Thank you regards Dave

Hi Ben, Unfortunately they wouldn’t. You would need to just leave a 600mm wide gap between units for the tumble drier to slide into. Hope this helps Carl
