how many roof tiles are required on a troof

what is the area of roof on a Roof size 6.0m x 4.0m on plan with a secant/ pitch of 45 degrees. = 1/2 span 2.0 x 1.414 secant = 2.828 length of common rafter = 2 .828m × 6.0 length of building = 16.97 x 2 sides of roof on pitch = 33.94m2. is this right.

what type of tile, manufacturers should be able to tell you how many per m2 your roof area is 24m2 allow 10% for cuts and wastage good luck Alex

agree with above. 34m2 roof area + 10% = 37.5m2. tiles have different coverage. best looking at the manufactrers brochures against the tiles youre wishing to have installed. also take into account if its small plain tiles you'll need eaves tiles and tile and halves.
