Ideal Logic S18 F1 fault

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.07 PM

6 month old house by Bloor. Sunday morning ugh! Boiler pressure down to 0.2. No leaks apparent but heavy frost lst night. Tried to top up water pressure by opening 2 blue valves. No pressure flow. Could supply be blocked with frozen pipe? Just a thought. Any other ideas?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

No the supply isn’t frozen. I suspect you might not have turned the correct levers. Allen Hart has a video about it on YouTube.

Check the filling loop as it may be that it has been fitted the wrong way round as there is a non return vale with the arrow of direction on it

The blue isolation valves could be on the flow and return under the boiler the filling link valves are usually black

If the boiler has lost pressure and is down to 0.2 bar? then it is likely you have a leak. If this is the case the problem will continue until the leak is found and could potentially cause other damage within the building. A phone call to a plumber or heating engineer would be a good idea, especially if the system is only 6 months old as this could be under warranty.
