I have a 3 bedroom dormer bungalow which has 1 bedroom upstairs. I wish to extend the current dormer on one side to install an ensuite. Do I need to inform building regulations?

yes you do need to get planning permission usually is quiet forward for this type of job again depend on we is your council

I would advise to get in touch with building regs just to be safe otherwise your get job done and they might tell you that it has to come down which wouldn't be good

Yes you will need planning permission to extend your dormer,planning in place they will issue you regs
