Rendering issue
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.06 PM
We really want to get our property rendered. But because of my neighbour concrete gutters he always has issues with them leaking etc which means we get damp on corner of our room. We tried to tackle the situation but my neighbour is a pain. Is there a product out there were we can do rendering and won’t get water damaged due to neighbour not maintaining there gutters? And the new rendering doesn’t get damaged too

Parex and others offer a range of products that deal with problems like this . Modern out the bag renders are far more complex that just plain sand and cement renders . And they also come in a range of colours and texture finishes. So the customer has a broader spectrum of choices for thier home exterior. And having the external brick work / block work properly sealed. Will prevent any water travelling through to the interior of the building

Hello. Pushing neighbours to fix things in their property can be a bit painful, even this is affecting yourself. If no agreement is achieved I would suggest to use silicone silicate render. Comes with ready mixed colour and its waterproof. Base needs to be special adhesive (can be purchased from rendering suppliers, not pva) base coat, rendering mesh and top coat silicate silicone(breathable)
All the best!
