Damp Proofing

I an selling a 200 year old cottage that had damp proof chemical injection and replastering. didnt get garrantee, can this now be covered.

Agree with all three answers above - The guarantee is provided by the contractor who completed the works. Check over all your paperwork - i.e. report, invoice and any other documents your received upon taking on the contractor. If you are unhappy with the service we would suggest you contact a consumer group (consumer direct - trading standards) or go to any associations/bodies that they are members of - like Property Care Association (PCA) who can assist you in getting the situation resolved. If the member is a PCA member you can also apply - for a fee - for an insurance policy to cover the works in case the contractor ceases to trade - in such case anothe PCA member carried out any works that have failed under the guarantee terms.
