One cubic metre is equal to a 200m run of 50x100mm
To calculate:
0.05m x 0.1m = 0.005m (area)
1m divided by 0.005m = 200 (run)
200 x 0.005m = 1m3 (volume)

You could take the size of the cube 1m x 1m and divide it it both ways then multiply
1.000/0.100 = 10
1.000/0.05. = 20
10 x 20 = 200 linear metres
