Wall not straight following a plaster job
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.06 PM
I'm not sure if I've selected right trade. I've previously had damp course done and then plaster over artex. The wall close to front door is not straight at the bottom which doesnt allow the door to open fully. Would a plasterer be able to correct the current issue?

Definitely a job for a plasterer. They will probably hack some of the plaster of to correct the issue.

Without seeing the job, I would remove a section of wall plaster up to the door and re- level it using plasterboard or suitable backing plaster, then skim.

100% a good plasterer should be able to create flat straight walls. If the wall is kicking out it can be chopped back and repaired or have the the entire wall redone if it's been badly plastered.

Hi it sounds like you need to have this section hacked off and renewed by plasterer that knows what they doing.there are loads so called plasterers out there that think they can do it. A tidy plasterer are someone who can do all plastering internal and external not someone who can skim a wall. They give us all bad name clowns.
