Tile Layout brick or stacked

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.27 PM

We are about to have a new small (ca. 2x2m) downstairs shower room tiled, the matt porcelain tiles are 600x300 and quite light (Inara Cloud from Topps Tiles), grey for the floor. The builder suggested a stacked layout, but we were wondering if a brick layout wouldn't be better?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

As long as the tiles are flat and square there should'nt be any issue with brick bond layout. The only downside would be more wastage but at the end of the day, you are the paying customer so have what you like as a decent tiler will be able to make it work.

I definitely prefer brick pattern layout each row of tiles is typically offset by half a tile width which results in long horizontal lines giving you a beautiful finish.
