My boiler is giving me heating but I have no hot water.

Hello I have a Vaillant Boiler that has recently stopped generating hot water but I still have heating around the house.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

"A vaillant boiler" that you have has heating but no hot water.
Combi or system boiler or conventional?
Assumption 1.
Combi boiler - diverter, microswitch,plate heat exchanger, water pressure/draw from taps
Assumption 2.
System or conventional y plan and s plan
Three port valve y plan stuck on heating side
S plan 2 port hot water valve stuck
Cylinder stat faulty.
A nebulous question on "a boiler" will give you lots of answers!

assuming the boiler is a combi.... the divert valve motor has probably lost its strength and would need replacing
