BUSH BDBL60ELB electric freestanding double oven with halogen hob. Its just arrived but has no plug on it. I have a cooker point plug socket on the wall. Can i put a plug on it and plug it in and if so what fuse should i put in it? Thanks for the responses, ive called an electrician as advised.

No, don’t do this. It requires hardwiring into cooker supply. With the appropriate size flexible cord. NOT a plug. Suggest an electrician does it.

You won't be able to do this I'm afraid, it would need to be hardwired with correct size cable, into an appropriate flex outlet plate etc. with an isolation point for the cooker and the correct rated circuit breaker at the fuse board. I would say to get a local electrician around to provide you with a free quotation. Hope this helps

As the last answer but also check your cable size against the kw output to ensure your cable can take the capacity that the oven will pull.

I can confirm that this would need to be hardwired .

You need to check the power consumption of the unit, if it is over 3.0kW then it must be hard wired with the appropriate cable.

Again like the other guys are saying, definitely get a professional to connect your cooker as it’ll need to be hard wired. In order to make sure all the connections are sound.
