if it was installed correctly it is still under warranty, first contact company who installed it and get them back to sort it,if you cant get them back, get vaillant in to check it,who put it in were they gas safe/heating engineers ?,was system flushed before installation ?,get one or the other back as soon as possible.

I would suggest to get the prv change under the warranty. As sound like a faulty prv.

If it’s only 4 months old get the installer to come and check the prv doesn’t have any debris causing it to open and to check the pressure on the internal expansion vessel is correct. Should be 0.75 bar. If both of the above are ok then get your warranty repair .

If under warranty it is the responsibility of the manufacturer to fix

Yes the prv can be faulty on a new boiler. This is under warranty. As long as the boiler was registered at installation time it is covered. Phone them and they should come out and resolve the problem.
