shed base for a 8x6 shed,but it needs to go down to 6 inches,long story with depth.

If its 8 ft x 6ft you would need 1.3/1.5 ton of ballast and around 10 bags of cement.

There are 300mm to a foot in measurement. The dimensions provided are 8,6 = 2.400 x 1800mm. To be laid six inches in depth 0.150mm = 0.648m3 . there are apr 2 bulk bags of ballast and ten cement to a cubic meter therefor you will need one bulk bag and apr 8 small bags of ballast. no need to get two bulk bags of ballast , unless you have use for the extra ballast somewhere else.. I would purchase 7 bags of cement. I hope that answers your query

In my opinion it will need to be deeper with some mesh in it should be layered up with type 1 whacker Ed then another layer whacked then concrete with mesh reinforcing 325mm overall thickness this also depends if there are any trees in the or near the area of required slab I hope this helps.

depend on what weight is going in shed ,what ground type (soft or solid)?.but i would put 6" of type 1 0r 803 base and wacker plate it well down it will compres to about 3-4 " then order 1.5 metres of ready mix with fibres in and use a plank or other solid straight bit of timber to tamp it down ,then finnish it off with plastic float as desired....i presume u have made some shuttering at east 8x6 and at desired finnish height and evel on all 4 sides?
