Foul smell from Washing Machine waste pipe sporadically?
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.06 PM
Our washing machine is plumbed in to a stand-alone down pipe in the utility room. However at random it seems to let off fouls smells at different times. We’ve tried all the usual tips online like running the machine on a high temperature programme with white vinegar and bicarbonate of soda in the machine but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. I don’t believe that there’s a blockage as the smell is not constantly there. I’ve read that having the machine waste pipe pushed too deeply down can impact this but that is only tucked in to the top so I don’t believe this to be the cause. Can anybody offer any words of wisdom? Many thanks
