Power socket with no on/off switch

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.06 PM

Moved to a new flat, and some of the power socket/outlets have no on/off switch on them - this looks dangerous. Can this be replaced with one with on/off switch, without much hassle? Would it be the same as replacing an old outlet with a new one?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

we would recommend you get a skilled person in for this !! its a case off turning off the sockets from the fuse board (test to make sure labels can be wrong) then its a straight forward swap (:

Yes this can simply be replaced with a switched socket provided the circuit is safely isolated beforehand
