Depths of tarmac base

What is the recommended depth of tarmac to lay a Resin Bound Overlay The contractor has installed 50mm base course and is topping with 18/20mm overlay is this sufficient on a driveway

The best recommended for driveway is 200mm subbase +50mm top base mot type one . 75mm tarmac 18mm to 25mm resin

Firstly no matter what type of surface you are planning to have the most important thing is to make sure that all topsoil and any roots are removed. A minimum of 250mm of Type One road stone compacted at 100mm layers followed by 75mm of dense bit base course with a 15-20mm top course should be used.
