Central Heating

Vokera combi is dumping water THROUGH THE CONDENSATION PIPE.

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.26 PM

Hi. I recently had a problem with Vokera combi boiler. The pressure was dropping down to zero in half an hour after topping up. It persisted for couple of days until I 'flashed' the system by running it on one radiator on at the time. Then it magically stopped loosing water. I was advised to use fernox F3 cleaner and then put an inhibitor F1 in. So yesterday I drained the system and put the cleaner in. When I turned the heating on, the pressure dropped down to zero again, in half an hour or - so the same problem again, but my tricks don't help it anymore. The boiler is one year old. Can anyone assess where the problem is. If that was a leaking heat exchanger, how come it worked again for the last couple of weeks after my flashing? Is there some automatic valve on the condensation pipe that might've gotten stuck? I would appreciate any clues or maybe educated inspection.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

If your boiler is a year old it should be under warranty call the manufacturer.

If you have messed with it the warranty would be null & void I would imagine if it’s only a year old

Vokera heat engines are notorious for pin- holing. If your system wasn’t flushed correctly then your warranty will be null & void. Pay cheap, Pay Twice......
