Regulations - Pitch on the Staircase

Can anyone advice me, what is the regulation onthe pitch on a staircase? Or can anyone forward me a website with this information? I also require someone to do me a set of drawings for building warrant, without paying the architectural fee tag. I am based in Edinburgh. I was told since no major structure work is being removed or tampered with a builder can do these drawings. The builder am wanting to hire can't :(

Hi,
The maximum pitch for a set of private stairs is 42°with a maximum rise of 220mm and a minimum going of 220mm.
