Thoughts on Magnaclean Micro 2 and cleaner/inhibitors to maintain boiler

Hi, I've fixed my 2nd pipe leak in 12 months and during this time I unfortunately did not add any inhibitor or descaler, but had to top up boiler several times while fixing the leaks, introducing fresh water into the system repeatedly. I want to maintain my system moving forward and the Magnaclean Micro 2 filter seems convenient for both removing rust debris and adding inhibitors/cleaners whenever cleaning is needed. Seems easy to fix it. Any thoughts on whether that is a good solution for my needs described above? thanks, Ananth

all central heating systems should have one of these or other brand all work the same,it is false economy not to fit one.

its a no brainier, a magma cleaner fitted is like oil filter to your car , same principal, all service warranty plans will not entertain any claim if one is not fitted.

thise days it is a requirement from the boiler manufacturers to have a magna clean fitted for warranty purposes and it does help maintain your heating system and boiler.

First of all, you have to address the problem as to why your pressure keeps dropping, ( do you have small leaks that you may not be aware of ?). I would recommend fitting a filter on any system where you install a new boiler, as it protects the new boiler, however this only catches iron based debris, and does not prevent corrosion. If your system is old then too much damage may have already occured and you may have leaks at any time
