New mono mixer tap leaking from base of spout

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.26 PM

Brand new tap from screwfix has a small leak from base of spout when taps are in use. Could the washers be faulty in the spout or badly positioned ? Tap in question is COOKE & LEWIS DUAL-LEVER MONO MIXER KITCHEN TAP CHROME There is no water or leak under the sink. The leak is just coming from where the spout is inserted into the base between the taps. I have removed the spout and I think there is washer missing. Gonna pop back to screwfix I think

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

It’s a seal on the tap or fitted wrong if it doesn’t leak when not being used the plumbing of tap will be ok it must be a seal on tap or something of an issue with it as I need to be replaced by Cook and Lewis ie by Bq Pos

Hello Brecks, So is the water leaking from underneath the the sink? , Is the water running back on the spout to to where the tap meets the sink?
