Neighbours toilet flushes and water thunders through outside drains

Hi - hope you can help as this is driving me crazy! I live in a semi- detached house & on my patio is a manhole cover. For the last 2 years, every time my neighbour flushes his toilet in his main bathroom, the water then thunders through and vibrates the manhole cover and the outside drains (and it's getting louder as time goes on). I have had the water company out & they put a camera down the drain but there was no blockage. The only comment they made was that next doors waste pipe into the drain seemed quite low. They covered the drain inside with what looks like plastic (so that you can't see directly into the drain when the manhole cover is open) & fixed a new manhole cover, but it's not made any difference Thank in advance

Hi pb5. Sorry to hear your problum... can make BBQ's a difficult. There are real heavy duty drain covers that screw down that may be a better choice than the thin galvanized tin top that likely acts like a loudspeaker in this case. Then perhaps cover this area with a large garden decoration tub / large plant pots etc to soften the vibration. Hope this gives you some ideas. Bob.

You need to Fit A Double Heavy Duty Cast Iron Cove with a Double Air Tight Seal. Can be Purchased from Any Big Builders Merchant.
