The simplest solution will be to hire a gas engineer to replace the thermostat. It is not a serviable part but an electronic component. The fire will need removing to access the back boiler by the gas engineer and then testing for safety afterwards. Ideally you will provide the name of the gas back boiler (make and model) when contacting an engineer or posting a job here. Added *** P.s that is the name of the fire front the Back Boiler is a Baxi Bermuda .. likely 401 or 552. It uses 240v to operate the gas control. The thermostat acts as a switch style electronic component with a liquid expansion phial. The thermostats are still available as to the best of my knowledge. Kind Regards Brandon
