Toilet overfilling and unusual fill valve i can't figure out how to adjust

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.28 PM

Hi, my toilet started overfilling a couple of days ago and when I lifted the top I encountered a type of fill valve I have never seen before. I just can't see how to adjust it. Normally, there is a little screw or something that one can adjust. And here nothing. See the photo on the link below: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ssb8spd4csynueb/20191125_201358.jpg?dl=0 Would anyone know what to do with that sort of fill valve? I am really busy and don't have time to get a plumber in right now. Thanks for any suggestions!

Only the height is adjustable on these valves. That in turn gives you the water level . Which means a New washer is required or better still just renew the valve that eliminates all issues.

Some floats are on a click system ie you can move it up and down or along a plastic bar. Hope this helps.

It is a Flowmaster. Drain the system, take it out and read the manufacturer's instructions for adjustment

Just change the complete valve , its not worth the hassle with washers etc
