What kind of tradesmen fit ventilation fans?

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.52 PM

i have posted the job twice but no replies at all. is this a job for an electrician? the fan is a "Vento Single Room Decentralised Heat Recovery Extractor Fan, dMEV & PIV Unit" and it is to go in a bedroom to stop mould/condensation issues after redecorating.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

An electrician. Though often they’re a bit of a pain to fit with loads of ducting usually up in the loft and a condensate pipe ect, so thats probably why there’s been no interest. Often people loose interest even further when someone has supplied their own hardware, firstly it causes issues with quality and guarantee, secondly we all like to fit what we know.

Hi. Yes a fully qualified competent electrician would be able to fit this for you and commission it.

Job can be a real pain. If you have bought your own unit you will probably get a shock when you get a price to install. Professionals like to work with equipment and brands they know well. These units are notorious for problems especially if not fitted by experienced fitter.
