Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.05 PM
Which trade would be best to quote for removal of old water tanks and any pipes in the loft? Combi boiler installed prior to purchase and now looking to clear tank and loft and board loft to use for storage. Assume would be plumber but would tradesmen who would board also clear?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

plumber would clear tank and pipework, some may still be live, what is tank made of ?,plastic easy to cut, galvanised not so easy as it gives off poisonous fumes when cut with angle grinder.

If you use a company that specialises in boarding lofts for storage they should be able to do everything for you.

Plumber would clear tank and excess pipes. Is tank copper, plastic or galvanised as that would determine the correct way to cut it to get it down.
As for boarding the loft for storage a business could carry that out for you.
