Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.05 PM

I want to replace a double pole pull cord switch but having trouble. I know where the earth wires go on brass connector and live going in also live and neutral coming out but there is a red bridging wire that goes into live going in but I didn't see where it was connected to on the other side. Can anyone help

You clearly don't know what you are doing here. Why on earth would you not get an electrician to do it?

Double pole pullcord are installed for high current demanding equipment like shower or cookers in domestic setting. Normally rated at 45A but it depend of equipment power rating and electrician calculations. I recommend you get a qualified electrician as this can void your insurance if anything happens down the line. Hopefully nothing will happen...

The small red wire is for the LED light on the pull cord , however I agree with the above answers if in doubt call in a qualified electrician it not cost a big hill of beans to get you sorted.
