Plasterboard that has weight bearing items hanging on it

Hi how much weight could plaster board take when hanging something heavy like a mirror that weighs 25kg? It it's good plaster board .

You could use a fixing called a snap toggle they would hold this weight your asking no problem

Hi,
For something like a heavy mirror or tv etc I’d rather locate either the studs that the plaster board is fixed to or if it’s dott & dabbed on the would like to fix into the masonry background.

You can get a new b g board that arrives quite a bit of weight. Plaster board fixings are great but don’t strengthen the board.
On
A stud wall can also have plywood patress
Can be inset or a complete covering of ply probably 9 or 12mm screwed to the studs first then board and skim allows weight to be attached. Hope this helps
