Trying to find out the best acoustic insultation for 320mm joist gaps

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 2.49 PM

Hi there, we're trying to find a decent insulation to fit into 320mm wide gaps between our joists in our floor which separate our flat from the flat below. Although we've found lots of very good insulation, the good ones all seem to be 600mm wide which will cause us a lot of wastage. Would anyone be able to recommend a good insulation that will fit into 320mm or at least leave a lot less waste-age? I guess we'd need 400mm wide insulation. Thanks very much for any help.

get full sheets of celotex or kingspan 2.4x1.2 at just cut to sizes required ,this stuff cuts very easily, from each sheet you will get 7 strips@1200 ,calculate floor area and this will determine how many sheets you require, each sheet covers just under 3m2
