Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.04 PM
My boiler (vaillant) refill valve is leaking water constantly. Why is this and what needs to be done to fix it? Here is a short video: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/cb5u852yeb59xdv/AAAsLnbTAqpVw-SAANQH-MFNa?dl=0 Edit: Thanks for the help guys! A change of the filling loop solved the problem.

It sounds like the filling loop is leaking. this is an isolation valve, they do tend to leak from the middle where you turn the valve on and off. The only way to remedy this is by changing the valve.

It is leaking due to the following reason
1. Bad manufacturing
2. Left/ stuck in open or closed position for to long (again poor quality)
3. Weight place on it
4. Could become brittle depending on weather conditions
5. Could have been bought faulty at the time of purchase.
