Will plastering fix uneven walls and ceilings?

You can have the walls straightened with bonding or boarding. As for the boards showing through. The plaster was applied too thin a good double coat skim will make them invisible and flatten them out.

Hi, sometimes walls will be uneven unless it's a fresh build, however unless your checking it with a level it should be so bad that you can see with the naked eye, this highlights the house is not straight and running out or the plastering was very very poorly done. Generally walks should definitely be even and straight. Patches often are noticeable , requires a lot of skill to blend into existing plaster but can be done but if anything it can just be sanded down where it joins then shouldn't be able to see it. Sometimes it's better to replaster the whole area and not patch as the difference in price won't be much as plastering a whole area is sometimes more straight forward than patching in. Regarding seeing the studs, that is unusually and something I've never come across, if you can see where it's been studded through the plaster and paint there is definitely something wrong and will probably need replastering properly. Best thing you can do is get a good plasterer in and get there advise. Remember this is your house and things are bothering you as it wasnt done properly. A replaster although might be more costly seems like your best choice to ensure peace of mind. Hope this helps...

Hi, when skimming over plasterboard I would recommend to have 2 coats of plaster as 1 coat is to thin resulting in you being able to see studs, I would recommend to re skim.

Hi did you use 12.5 board or 9.5 board and was the stud wet when it went in if you use 9.5 board it's just to thin a nd also did you use one coat of piaster then should of had two coats but like you say it looks patchy then I would recommend tt you get a professional in like myself and have it all done properly have it done properly then your save money in the long run hope this helps kind regards

No it would be better plastered in small areas my work but in big areas
