Builder I hired damages my fence

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.25 PM

Hey I hired builder they came to do the landscaping work.. but today when i came back home found a baseball size of hole in my fence. Can you advise what is the best way to deal with this case.. can it be repaired at all? or does the whole panel needs to be replaced? if so..they refuses replacing , how much is the average cost for replacing a fence panel (labour+new panel) please? Many thanks

From what you say the builders should replace the panel no questions asked. Once a panel if damaged it’s more hassle to try and repair the panel and will never look how you want it to. Dependent on size and style of panel you should never pay more than £60 for a new panel labour and disposal of old panel.

The builder should have replaced the fence panel if he damaged it. The average cost for a 6 x 6 panel is around £25. Labour cost just to replace the panel is around £30 as long as posts are still secure.

I agree. If the builder damaged the panel they should replace it without quarrel. £50-£60 dependant on size and clear rubbish.

We only carry out stock fencing and post and rail. Not domestic panel. We can't really help with this question.
