Crack in the inside pane of our angled roof window

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.25 PM

There's a crack in the inside pane of our roof window (angled, double glazed). The outside pane is OK. The window is still in one piece, thankfully. Do you think the pane can be replaced without replacing the entire window and exterior flashing? Size is approximately 58 x 79cm (for the glass only), approximately 67 x 90cm (for the whole window).

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

On something of that size you would most likely replace whole thing

If it's a velux type window you can easily replace the glass only.if someone says replace whole window labour and materials more expensive option not good for customer

Again if it’s velux type You can just change the glass no point changing full roof window for more expense. Many thanks

To whom this may concern The problem with velux or double pain windows is that were cracks appear You start to see condensation But on the size ! It will be cheaper option to change the pain of glass than the hole velux.hope this helps. Thanks lee
