LVT - alternative to F46 adhesive? Evo Stik?

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.25 PM

Is this a viable alternative to F46 adhesive or no, just stick with F46 and purchase it on Ebay? The LVT will be for a porch area. https://www.screwfix.com/p/evo-stik-impact-adhesive-light-amber-500ml/72928?kpid=72928&ds_kid=92700048793315993&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI-eX56O6O5QIVyrHtCh2F6wmSEAQYBSABEgJ6rfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds Thank you

In my 25 years fitting lvt I think I’ve used all adhesives but my preferred choice is uzin 2000s fairly pricey but amazing other than that any pressure sensitive adhesive will hold tiles If a warm house or conservative use a ht adhesive (high temperature) any flooring distributor will stock Don’t use evo stick (contact adhesive) not suitable for plastic tiles can shrink

Follow the advice of the manufacturer. I have seen 1600m2ofnewky laid LVT lift within days of being laid simply because the wrong sealant was used on a concrete floor. Thankfully the manufacturer adviser the wrong substrate so there was no cost to the customer. The manufacturer bore all costs. Follow advice and recommendations and get proof in writing.
