Which tradesperson do ineed to refit a marble fire surround/ base with gas fire?

I want to have my marble fireplace re fitted in my new home but also need the gas fire to be fitted with it. Do I need different tradespeople?

you would need a registered gas engineer that has experience/specialises in the installation of gas fires.

Yes you would as if the marble requires cutting then it would be someone who has the correct cutting kit for it and for the gas fire the person would have to be gas safe registered

It's a 2 trade job a stone mason for the the fire surround and a gas engineer to fit the fire.

Have the builders opening made or refurbed by the specialists who should leave the required opening and hearth allowance space for fire type. Then an experienced gas engineer with this category to carry out the installation safely competently.
