Gas cooker near fuse box

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.45 PM

Wanting to refit a new kitchen. Are there any regs on how far gas cooker should be from fuse box?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Why would you put a cooker anywhere near a Fuseboard? Certainly not above it if it’s at ceiling height and off to the side at least 500 mm or so I would move one or the other

The cooker should be no closer than 300ml to the fuse board

BlueFlame gas is mistaken. You cannot have a gas pipe within 300mm of a consumer unit. That's not to say the cooker itself can't be within 300mm

I would suggest you consult the manufacturers instructions for clearances from certain objects if the specific item is not mentioned then maybe give them a call. If they are unable to offer advice then try referring to the wiring regs. However the manufacturers would usually have the final say over clearances from agas appliance .
