Buying house with gap for a 1100mm cooker. If we install a 1000mm cooker - what can be done to disguise the gap either side? There is extractor hood above and cupboards either side.

Hi we would normaly fit unit end panels and fit closures, The only problem i can see is your work tops are obviously to short to do any of this without changing atleast one top. This can be done and reasonably cheaply with right tools.

you could build in a sliding hanger unit for oven gloves ect ,or just blank the space off with infill pieces to match kitchen units

As already said.new worktops because it's unlikely your going to be Abel to find the same as is in now and they will look odd next to the old if you do and a couple of filler panels.exspense wish depends on your choice of worktops .but giving there's no gas or electric works would only be a days labour plus materials for a decent joiner/kitchen fitter.

Leave a 2" gap either side would be the cheapest and easiest option by the sound of it. The cooker is a free standing range anyway so you'd have to try it and see what you think
